Too much throttle, grabbing the front brake, speeding into turns: the most common beginner scooty mistakes and how to avoid them.

Every beginner makes mistakes. Knowing the common ones in advance makes learning faster and safer.

1. Too much throttle

When nervous, beginners often grip and twist the throttle hard. The scooty jumps forward and fear grows. Fix: twist only a little at a time, and keep your wrist relaxed.

2. Grabbing the front brake suddenly

A hard pull on the front brake can make the handle turn and the scooty skid. Fix: use the rear brake first to slow down, then add the front brake gently.

3. Speeding into turns

Accelerating into a turn is one of the most dangerous habits. Fix: release the throttle before the turn, slow down, then turn.

4. Looking down at the front wheel

Your scooty goes where your eyes go. Fix: look ahead to where you want to go, not at the ground.

5. Rushing to real traffic

Entering traffic too early creates panic. Fix: master start, stop, balance and turns in a quiet place first.
